Facts and Frequently Answered Questions:

  • Hacienda Inc./Los Ninos Healthcare Services and Los Ninos Hospital Inc./Los Ninos Healthcare are both Qualified Charitable Organizations.

  • The QCO code for Hacienda Inc./Los Ninos Healthcare Services is 20042.

  • The QCO code for Los Ninos Hospital Inc./Los Ninos Healthcare is 20096.

  • The deadline to make your 2021 tax credit donation is Monday April 18, 2022.

  • You can also make a 2022 tax credit donation to help us get our goal.

  • You can donate online at: https://www.haciendainc.org/donate/

  • You can split your donation and give to both agencies.

  •  Maximum donation for a single filer is $400.00 and $800 for joint filers.

  • When filing your taxes with the tax credit donations, you must file AZ tax forms 321 and 301.

  • If you donate more than your tax liability, the overage will count for the next year. Ex: Tax liability $700 for joint filer. Donation $800. $100 will be forwarded to your 2022 tax liability.

  • If you prepare your taxes and still owe Arizona state taxes, you can donate the shortage up to the maximum limits and not have to pay the state the shortage. Ex: You prepare your return but still owe $100, you can donate $100 and not owe the state anything. Just file the proper tax forms 301 and 321.

  • If you prepare your taxes and have paid all of your state liability through payroll deductions,  you can donate up to the maximum allowed and get a refund for those amounts. Ex: Tax liability $ 500. State income tax withholding from paycheck $500. Donate $400 as single filer and get tax refund of $400.  

  • If your Arizona tax liability is higher than the maximum allowed under the Qualified Charitable Organization program, you can consider other tax credit programs for additional tax credits such as the Foster Care tax credit, school tuition tax credit, and public school tax credit programs.   Please see www.azdor.gov for more information.
